Frequently Asked Questions:

My student is already on campus and is being told to evacuate. What should they do?
Aggies take care of Aggies. Our Residence Life staff have your student's safety as their top priority. They will be visiting each student currently on campus to have them fill out their Emergency Evacuation Forms, make sure they are ready to go and direct them to the busses to take them to College Station.

Does my student have to go to College Station? What if we have family or friends locally?
If your student has a safe place to weather the storm with family or friends, they do not need to travel to College Station.

Our student's scheduled move-in was cancelled. When should we reschedule our travel to bring them back to campus?
Unfortunately, it is just too hard to tell at this point. Models for this storm are just not clear enough to make that sort of decision yet, but please know that our administration is working closely with local authorities and the National Weather Service to make the best decision to keep our Aggies safe. With that in mind, we will update everyone as soon as we are able.

What about classes?
Again, safety is our main priority at the moment. With that said, classes are currently cancelled for Monday, August 28. We will be re-evaluating the situation daily and will provide updates as they become available. We will be working with all our students to make sure everyone is ready to go when we return to campus.
